Terms and Conditions

1. Booking Your Tea Party

We’re thrilled you’re considering Jo Jo’s Traveling Teatime for your special event! To secure your date, please book in advance via our website, email, or phone. Your booking is confirmed once we’ve received a deposit. Please provide all the details we need—like your event date, location, number of guests, and any dietary requirements—so we can make your tea party perfect.

2. Payment

A deposit of 50% is required to hold your spot. This deposit is non-refundable. The rest of your payment is due 30 days before the big day. We accept cash, money order, credit card and apple pay. Timely payment helps us keep everything running smoothly.

3. Cancellations

Life happens! If you need to cancel, please let us know in writing. Deposits are non-refundable, but if we have to cancel your event, we’ll provide a full refund or work with you to reschedule. Cancellations close to the event may be partially refundable at our discretion.

4. Rare Event Cancellations by Us

In the rare event we need to cancel, we’ll let you know as soon as possible and offer a full refund or help you reschedule at a convenient time.

5. Unexpected Events

We understand that life can be unpredictable. For events impacted by things like COVID restrictions, severe weather, or other emergencies, we’ll work with you to reschedule or provide a partial refund if rescheduling isn’t possible.

6. Changes to Your Event

If your guest list grows, your menu changes, or the timing needs adjusting, just let us know at least 14 days in advance. We’ll do our best to accommodate, but sometimes last-minute changes aren’t possible.

7. Safety & Special Dietary Needs

Your safety and enjoyment are our top priority! Please make sure the event location is safe and ready for service. Share any dietary requirements with us beforehand—we’ll cater to them carefully. We cannot be held responsible if dietary needs aren’t communicated in advance.

8. Care for Your Home or Venue

We treat your space with the utmost care. While we take every precaution, Jo Jo’s Traveling Teatime is not responsible for damage caused by guests or unforeseen circumstances like accidents, weather, or third-party vendors.

9. Photos & Memories

We love capturing the magic of your tea party! Photos may be used on our website or social media unless you ask us not to.

10. Hosting Tips

To ensure your tea party runs smoothly, we kindly ask:

  • Provide a clean and safe space for setup.
  • Access to electricity is necessary, for hot water urns.
  • Access to a refrigerator would be optimal, in order to hold the food until the start of the event.
  • Keep pets or young children supervised during service.
    These little touches help us bring the perfect Jo Jo’s Traveling Teatime experience to life!

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, USA.

12. Agreement

By booking with Jo Jo’s Traveling Teatime, you’re agreeing to these terms and conditions. We can’t wait to share a delightful tea experience with you!

Return and Refund Policy

1. General Policy

Jo Jo’s Traveling Teatime provides freshly prepared food and on-site catering services. Due to the nature of our products and the time required for preparation, all sales are considered final unless stated otherwise in this policy.

2. Deposits

  • A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure all bookings.
  • Deposits will only be refunded if Jo Jo’s Traveling Teatime must cancel the event.

3. Cancellations by Client

  • Cancellations made 14 days or more before the event:
    • Deposit remains non-refundable.
    • Any additional payments made may be refunded at the discretion of Jo Jo’s Traveling Teatime.
  • Cancellations made fewer than 14 days before the event:
    • No refunds will be issued.
    • If special ingredients, rentals, or custom items were purchased for the event, the client remains responsible for those costs.

4. Cancellations by Jo Jo’s Traveling Teatime

  • In the rare event we must cancel due to emergency, illness, or unforeseen circumstances, clients will receive:
    • A full refund of all payments made, including the deposit, or
    • The option to reschedule at no additional cost.

5. Order Adjustments

  • Guest count reductions made fewer than 14 days before the event cannot be refunded, as ingredients and preparation time are allocated in advance.
  • Additions or increases will be accommodated when possible and invoiced accordingly.  At this time, Jo Jo’s Traveling Teatime provides catering services for a maximum of 24 guests per event.

6. Food Returns

  • Due to health and safety regulations, we cannot accept returns of any food items once they have been delivered, served, or left the premises.
  • If there are concerns about quality, safety, or presentation, clients must notify Jo Jo’s Traveling Teatime in writing, within 24 hours of the event.
    • Appropriate solutions may include partial refunds, a future credit, or product replacement depending on the situation.

7. Partial Service Refunds

  • If Jo Jo’s Traveling Teatime is unable to deliver the agreed-upon level of service due to circumstances within our control, a partial refund or credit may be issued.
  • No refunds will be issued for delays or issues caused by venue limitations, weather conditions, or client/guest interference.

8. Custom Orders and Rentals

  • Customized items, special-order ingredients, rented equipment, and purchased décor are non-refundable once acquired.
  • If a client cancels after these items have been secured, charges will still apply.

9. Digital Products, Documents, or Menus

  • Any digital materials provided as part of consultation or planning services are non-refundable once delivered.

10. Agreement

By booking with Jo Jo’s Traveling Teatime, the client acknowledges and agrees to this Return and Refund Policy.
